i'm back.. well, it was a half trip to italy i guess..

milan- CHECK (really big one cuz we combed alot of places)
venice- CHECK (big one too)
florence- quarter check, only visited pisa and i was down with food poisoning..
rome- well, can't check this.. was too sick for anything.. putain..

venice and rome are some places i dont mind going again.. damn, rome is like a museum itself..

it's been a really long journey, i'll try to detail the stuffs.. overall it was a pleasant trip with a few nice events happening but marred by my food poisoning..

monday 21st dec, went by train to paris and i helped this frail looking old lady carry her baggage which weighed at least 20kg up the overhead bridge.. i swear it was damn heavy and i tried to act strong by pretending to smile as i climbed the steps.. exchanged a few words with the lady using my dog shit french, and when she found out that i was a "student" she gave me 5 euros for helping her with her bag.. i refused but she said it was for christmas and was very insistent that i accept it so i did.. then the train got delayed so i reached at 9pm.. went to forestier's place for some champagne and wine, met his friend fanny, she's really pretty and hot haha.. and a lawyer.. aiseh.. ended about 3am and took a cab back to my hotel, it's surprisingly cheap cuz it's only about 11 euros..

tuesday 22 dec, forest showed me around the heart of paris, been to many places.. and i walked more than 10 km for that day! we wanted to go up the eiffel tower but there was a really low cloud base so we gave it a miss.. he showed me to the outskirt of paris and guess how we got there? cycled with the public bicycles! 1 euro for half an hour.. and at 5pm, it's not a joke to cycle on the roads of champs elysees! now i finally realised why i repeatedly failed my bike test.. simply cuz i would be riding like a car and unable to squeeze through heavy traffic! god dammit.. it was just so-so when we got there cuz it's the CBD area of paris, but it's all skyscrapers and we have that all over sg.. so no biggie i feel.. went to a bar for some drinks before dinner, and somehow it became more drinks, and more drinks.. haha 150 euros or drinks.. god.. haha of cuz i only attributed to 35 euros.. lol

wednesday, wanted to go eiffel tower but there were toooooo many pple, it was almost like the queues from the different corners were gonna meet each other? went to the louvre museum instead and as i was in the queue for the tickets, this lady (singaporean i assume) came to me and asked me if i was alone? i said yes and she gave me a free ticket and told me she doesnt need it.. haha it costs 14 euros and it's the "all area pass" ticket.. haha i'm sorry to say, i only wanted to buy the 9 euro "visit the museum" pass.. =X spent like 4-5 hours in there cuz there were simply toooooo many things to see.. of cuz the most famous being mona lisa.. i didnt think it was particularly impressive, perhaps i dont know how to appreciate it?

thursday, met hew, kwong weng and samuel for the italy trip, got to milan. let's stop here and continue some other time, it's 1130pm here and i got to slp! ciaooo.
